LOVETTSVILLE, VA – The Town of Lovettsville is thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration with Bow Tie Strategies, a Loudoun-based events management firm, to oversee the management and execution of the renowned Lovettsville Oktoberfest.
Bow Tie Strategies, an acclaimed events management firm, boasts a stellar track record highlighted by their exceptional stewardship of the Tarara Summer Concert Series. Since assuming management in 2016, Bow Tie Strategies has elevated the Concert Series to new heights, earning accolades from prestigious publications such as USA Today, Northern Virginia Magazine, the Washington Business Journal, Loudoun Now, Loudoun Times-Mirror, and Visit Loudoun.
Founded by Loudoun native, Rusty Foster in 2012, Bow Tie Strategies has garnered widespread recognition for its innovative approach and unwavering commitment to excellence. Rusty Foster himself has been honored as a trailblazer in the community, earning prestigious titles such as Loudoun Times-Mirror’s “40 Under 40,” “Northern Virginian of the Year” by Northern Virginia Magazine, and “Young Professional of the Year” by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce.
In a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, Bow Tie Strategies is dedicated to honoring the rich heritage of the Lovettsville Oktoberfest – a beloved community tradition spanning almost three decades. This partnership not only ensures a seamless and professional execution of the festival, but it empowers the Oktoberfest Planning Committee to focus on fostering community engagement through beloved traditions like the signature Wiener Dog Races.
Embracing the spirit of collaboration, volunteers, local businesses, and community organizations will continue to play a pivotal role in the annual festival. In a nod to tradition, the festival will return to its traditional schedule, occupying the last full weekend of September in 2025.
For just 2024 only, the Lovettsville Oktoberfest will be held one weekend earlier (September 20-22, 2024), marking the world’s FIRST Authentic Oktoberfest of the year, starting one day prior to Munich, Germany. This momentous occasion will kick off with an electrifying performance by The Reagan Years on the Walker Pavilion, setting the stage for a weekend of unparalleled festivities.
Renowned as “The German Settlement,” Lovettsville has consistently garnered international acclaim for its award-winning Oktoberfest. After a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, Lovettsville Oktoberfest triumphantly returned in 2022, reclaiming its title as the 2023 Best of Loudoun Winner for Best Event/Festival. Currently ranked in the Top 5 for Best Event/Festival for Best of Loudoun 2024, Lovettsville Oktoberfest promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
