Lovettsville Town Code Update: Water Service Procedures for Billing, Collections, Service Disconnections, and Property Liens

Per these Town Code revisions, if payments are not made within 60 days of any delinquent bill’s penalty date, the water service shall be subject to disconnection within 10 business days after receiving a final notification from the Town of Lovettsville. Service will not be restored until the delinquent balance of all service charges, and penalty fees have been paid in full; or a payment plan agreement has been set up and approved by the Town Manager.

In addition, upon disconnection of service, a fee for disconnection of $30.00, and an additional fee of $30 for reconnection will be charged. The current amount due with penalty, plus the disconnection/reconnection fees must be paid prior to reconnection of service.
