Town Council Requests Public Input at July 29, 2021 Meeting – Elections
Request for Public Input:
In consideration of the changes to state law regarding the timing of Town elections to be held during the November general elections and the current election provisions defined in the Lovettsville Town Charter, the Lovettsville Town Council will be discussing the following ordinance which will move elections from May to November on even-numbered years, starting 2022, with terms to commence moving from July 1 (on even-numbered years) to January 1 of odd-numbered years.
While this administrative ordinance does not require a public hearing, the Town will hold a public input session on this matter at the July 29, 2021 regular Town Council meeting.
