Weekend Snow Preparation and Reminders

LET IT SNOW! ☃️
As we prepare for our first big snow storm this weekend, the Town of Lovettsville would like to remind everyone of the following:

❄️ If possible, please move vehicles off roadways to make way for the plows.

❄️ VDOT maintained roads and Town owned properties will be plowed after 2 inches of accumulation.

❄️ Sidewalks around Zoldos Square/ “the Squirkle” (perimeter sidewalks only) and around the Town Green (except those directly in front of homes) will be shoveled once accumulation has completed.

❄️ When deicing sidewalks in front of your homes, please ONLY use Calcium Magnesium (CMA), which is safe for concrete.

🏂 Please use caution when driving and keep an eye out for children of all ages.

🔦 As a friendly reminder, if a power outage occurs, the more information Dominion Energy has, the faster they can respond. Customers are encouraged to call or report their outage online if their power goes out. You can notify Dominion Energy online at https://www.dominionenergy.com/virginia/report-outage-or-emergency? or call them at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357) or use the Dominion Energy mobile app. Customers should also call 866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357) to report downed lines. Everyone should stay at least 30 feet away from downed lines and make sure family members, neighbors and pets also avoid the wires.
