Weekly Trash and Recycling Collection
The Town contracts with American Disposal to provide trash and recycling collection to Town residents. Weekly pickup is provided every Wednesday. Please place your items on the curb no earlier than 4 p.m. on Tuesday and before 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Residents are responsible for providing their own trash cans; however, American Disposal provides FREE 65-gallon recycling carts with lids to Town residents (one per household). To request a recycling cart, please call American Disposal at 866-884-8700 Monday-Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Click here for information about what can and cannot be recycled.
If you are not using an American Recycling cart, please make sure you clearing mark that the bin is for recycling.
Because Lovettsville can get windy at times, please mark your trash cans and recycling cart with your house address, just in case your containers blow away.
Bulk Pickup
If you have unusual or large items for disposal (such as furniture or appliances), and they are not on the list of unacceptable items shown below, please call Town Hall at 540-822-5788 to arrange a special bulk pickup.
